Following the success of last year’s 8Rocks event, which raised a phenomenal £605,000 for Cancer Research UK’s Clinical Fellows programme, the Dallaglio Foundation are delighted to announce plans for this year’s party on Friday 12^th November.

In 2009, 8Rocks took the party season by storm, attracting the likes of Lemar and Tom Chaplin who performed to an intimate audience of 500 special guests, including high profile celebrities from the world of TV, sport and music.

Plans for 2010 are already underway, and it promises to be bigger and better than before and raise even more money for Cancer Research UK.

05/09/10 - Tri For Life Triathlon

Join Lawrence, his celebrity friends and the exclusive Dallaglio Foundation team in the Tri For Life triathlon this autumn!

By representing the Foundation at the event at Dorney Lake, Windsor, on September 5th, you can help raise vital funds for our major charity beneficiary - Cancer Research UK's Clinical Fellows programme.

You can take part in one of four events - the triathlon, duathlon, fun run or scootathon - and help Lawrence and the Foundation support this very worthy cause.

And it’s guaranteed to be a fun day out for all the family, with a designated children’s play area and plenty of open spaces by the river for you and your family to enjoy the weather.

Lawrence said: "By working together, we can help Cancer Research UK reach their ultimate goal of beating cancer. It is a huge challenge obviously, but as you know, I like a challenge, and I'd be delighted if you could all help me achieve this by participating in Tri For Life."

Registration costs are as follows, and please take note of the age restrictions for each events:

Short Distance Triathlon (400m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) - £60
Minimum age = 16 at 31st December 2010

Duathlon (2.5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run) - £60
Minimum age = 16 on 31st December 2010

Fun Run (2.5km) - £20
Age = 8-16 on Race Day

Scootathlon (400m scoot, 400m bike, 250m run) - £15
Age = 4-8 on Race Day

Your registration fee covers the cost of the event, and the sponsorship you raise will be donated to Cancer Research UK's Clinical Fellows programme by the Dallaglio Foundation. Please note that the minimum sponsorship level for the Tri For Life triathlon is £350 (children do not need to raise any sponsorship).

24/04/10 - St. George's Day Game

The Dallaglio Foundation are joining forces with their official charity partner, London Wasps RFC, to raise vital funds for the Help for Heroes campaign when the rugby side take on Bath at Twickenham in April.

The fixture, which will take place on Sunday 24^th April, has been moved to the home of English rugby in honour of St. George’s Day, and has been dedicated to supporting the charitable organisation which offers help to service personnel injured in combat.

£1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the campaign and supporters are also encouraged to ‘Treat a Troop’ by purchasing an additional ticket and allowing active servicemen or women enjoy a day out with their families to see two of the sport’s biggest sides go head to head.

Wasps captain Tom Rees added: “This is a great initiative and the team are really proud to be able to contribute. As individuals we have agreed that we would like to show our appreciation by kick-starting the campaign and all buy Treat a Troop tickets. We want to see as many uniformed servicemen and women in the stands as possible.

“This game is huge for us in rugby terms, but it is also a great opportunity to give back to those who represent our country and make this a great day out for everyone involved. We really hope everyone gets behind ‘Treat a Troop’.”

HRH Prince Harry, who is Vice Patron of the Rugby Football Union, said: "This is a fantastic gesture by the players. I know from personal experience that all members of the Armed Services are very appreciative of anything like this which recognises and rewards their hard work and dedication."

The partnership between London Wasps RFC and the Dallaglio Foundation began in August 2009, and was described as “the perfect match” after Lawrence Dallaglio spent fifteen years playing for the club before taking up a role as a director.

NOW - Dallaglio Cycle Slam for Sport Relief

Lawrence is currently undertaking one of his biggest challenges yet - the Dallaglio Cycle Slam from Rome to Edinburgh - raising money for Sport Relief and the Dallaglio Foundation.

With the help of some celebrity friends and more than 250 supporters, Lawrence is aiming to raise £1million for a number of excellent causes by cycling 2,800km, visiting each of the stadia included in the Six Nations rugby tournament.
