12/02/10 - And They're Off!
The Dallaglio Cycle Slam is well and truly underway after Lawrence and co set off from the Stadio Flaminio in Rome at 8am this morning, for the first stage of their epic 2,800km journey across Europe.
Alongside a selection of celebrity friends and more than 250 supporters, Lawrence will be stopping off en-route at each of the stadia involved in the current Six Nations rugby tournament, finishing in Edinburgh on March 12th.
Having set an ambitious fundraising target of £1million, to be split between Sport Relief and the Dallaglio Foundation, Lawrence was delighted to reveal that more than £450,000 had been raised before the Slam had even begun.
